About the author

I’m Ellie, and I write here. I am an MLIS grad in Wisconsin. I’m really interested in social media, and have found that my studies give me an entirely new perspective on how I use the web.

In my spare time (all 20 minutes of it) I enjoy playing my banjolele. (If you’re not familiar with the banjolele, this video is the best thing I can recommend to you. Its not me playing but I am in love with this.)

What you’ll find here

Here’s the thing; I don’t really know yet. I started this blog as kind of a portfolio project, thinking maybe I ought to be a professional and write like one, too. The result: A terrible blog that never gets updated. So now, I’m opening it up. I’m someone with a lot to say, so you might find a little of everything here.

I do like to write about information organization, coming from a background of librarianship. I also really like writing about the corners of the Internet I personally inhabit. I have a lot to say about women’s and LGBT rights, and also about my experiences in the workforce. My goal right now is to say the things I feel need saying; check in again to find out if I’ve accomplished that.
